Chapter 13, Title 11, United States Code – Chapter 13, Title 11, of the United States Bankruptcy Code is the type of bankruptcy that allows you to save your home and stop foreclosure. Chapter 13 Bankruptcy also allows you to get rid of certain debts that you can’t discharge in Chapter 7. For instance when a creditor is charging too much interest, discharge types of debts where the creditors are charging too much interest. Chapter 13 also prevents collection attempts against any co-signer that didn’t file jointly.
