Do You Want To Be Debt Free?
Debt is no joke. When you default, you’re facing lawsuits, wage garnishment, repossession, and other attempts to collect. If you’re behind on payments, you’re probably already dealing with collection calls and letters. If you can’t pay, it’s time to consider other options for dealing with your debt. That’s where bankruptcy comes in.
There are a number of types of bankruptcy, but Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 are usually the best options for consumers. Both of these offer serious protection against creditors in the form of the automatic stay. The automatic stay prevents creditors from contacting you or trying to collect payment from you during the bankruptcy process. At the end of your bankruptcy, your unsecured debts will be discharged and you’ll be free to start out with a fresh financial slate.
Do you want to learn more about bankruptcy? Take a look at our Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy pages for more information about bankruptcy, how it works, and whether it’s right for you.
